Want to visit the Garden of Eden? Sri Lanka will give you this opportunity. We give the coordinates of where to find the paradise on the island.
Yes, friends, I hasten to share the good news: we have found a real paradise! And these are not at all snow-white beaches with turquoise water, but a completely different picture.
Let's remember how, since ancient times, artists and poets depicted heaven on earth? Gardens immersed in greenery, beautiful flowers, wonderful birds of all colors and colors, their melodious chirping, fruit fruits and a complete absence of worries and worries. This is how Eden looked in the memories of eyewitnesses and in the fantasies of the inhabitants of our mortal world who dreamed about it.
Since ancient times, travelers have dreamed of finding a lost paradise. They built thousands of hypotheses and wherever they put it on the world map. In Ceylon, Eden was also sought, or rather, on the fabulous island of Taprobana, which most likely meant Sri Lanka. I don’t know if our predecessors succeeded, but we did find paradise in Ceylon. More precisely, not even one, but two!
Garden of Eden. Version 1.0.
Sunrise Cottage in Sigiriya is one of the best places I have stayed in on my travels. The conditions in the house itself are simple, almost Spartan, but at the same time clean and spacious. The main thing is outside the walls.
The house stands in a garden on the outskirts of the village, surrounded only by trees and flowers. All this green kingdom is inhabited by all kinds of living creatures. There are more animals and birds per square meter here than in the zoo. But here they are free, live their own lives, coo, fly, run, crawl, jump briskly and cheerfully. Who we just did not see here: only at least a dozen species of birds, including paradise and crumbs like hummingbirds, lizards, monkeys, rabbits, hares, chipmunks. All of them show ardent curiosity and come very close - you can see enough. Jogging and balancing on wires of monkeys is another performance, more abruptly than a circus. But the thrill is to listen! All these living creatures tirelessly chirp, whistle, squeak and sing. Each member of the orchestra has its own part and intro time, so you listen to completely different concerts in the morning, afternoon, evening and night. It's even hard to say which symphony is the best. Probably pre-dawn is something!
In general, friends, this is exactly the Garden of Eden that people have been colorfully and dreamily describing for centuries. And everyone can find it. On top of that, the food is delicious there - the breakfasts are very good. But there is also bad news: one thing still destroys the ideal image of paradise and makes life there not the most pleasant - the heat.

Guest House Cozy Home Stay in Ella. The beta version is better than the first one in terms of climatic conditions. The mountain village of Ella is located at an altitude of 900 m, so it is noticeably fresher and more pleasant here, reminiscent of the Russian summer. I would like a couple of degrees less, but that's not bad. Here we also live in nature, far from the noisy streets. True, the animals and birds are slightly smaller here, but they are fed at the highest level: both breakfasts and dinner in the form of curry rice are the best in all of Sri Lanka.
An alternative and slightly more advanced option for living, where we also stayed, is Ella Grand Paradise.

In general, paradise is not a place, but a set of conditions, so you can find it in various parts of the Earth. When planning your next trip, I recommend that you work a little and find for yourself the same Garden of Eden. Relax blissfully!
