Bangkok City Center ⇔ Pattaya
Taxi... From anywhere in Bangkok, it's easy to take a taxi to Pattaya. The journey takes 2-2.5 hours. It all depends on traffic jams. For convenience, you will have to pay from 1,500 to 2,500 baht.
Catching a car on the street and negotiating with the driver is not the best option. We recommend making an order through the Grabtaxi app or ordering a transfer on KiwiTaxi - it costs 1680 baht.
Bus to the hotel. We recommend Bell Travel Service. For 370 baht, you will be picked up from any part of Bangkok and dropped off at your hotel or condo in Pattaya. Travel will cost more than a regular bus, but you will get there with comfort.
From the Ekamai bus station... Getting from Bangkok to Pattaya is cheaper from the East Auto Terminal, which is located near the BTS Ekkamai station. It is easy to get here from the city center using the light green line Sky Train.
Comfortable air-conditioned buses run to the resort from 5:00 to 23:00 every half hour. The ticket costs 124 baht and the journey takes 2 hours. The exact timetable and ticket prices from the Ekamai bus station are on the website. Buses run non-stop and arrive at the bus station on the North Street of the resort.
From the Mochit bus station... This is Bangkok's Northern Bus Terminal. There is no metro station nearby, so you can get here from the city center by taxi, buses, or first by metro, and then by tuk-tuk or taxi.
In our experience, the transfer option is the most convenient. Take the MRT underground subway to Mo Chit Station, and the surface BTS to Chatuchak Station. The exits from them are nearby. On the street, take a taxi or a three-wheeled tuk-tuk, and for 70-100 baht you will be taken to the Mochit bus station.
Air-conditioned buses to the resort run from 4:30 to 23:00 in 30-40 minutes, sometimes more often. The ticket costs 132 baht. The road from Mochita is longer. You will reach Pattaya in 2.5 hours and get to the North Bus Station of the resort.
We get from Pattaya to the center of Bangkok... In the opposite direction, buses run from the Northern Bus Station from 4:30 to 23:00. Look at the map and take tickets to the part of Bangkok where you need to - to Ekamai, Mochita or to the Southern Bus Terminal. Prices are low - up to 140 baht.
From Pattaya to Bangkok still go minivans... Minibuses to Victory Monument depart from Central Festival, South and Central streets, from 5 Soi Jomtien and Sukhumvit. The fare is 100-150 baht. You will spend 2-2.5 hours on the road.
By rail... The cheapest but inconvenient way to get from Bangkok to Pattaya is by train. From the Hua Lamphong railway, trains leave only once a day - at 6:55 am. You will drive for 4 hours. Hot and long! Travel in a class 3 carriage with open windows and fans will cost 31 baht. Be sure to check out the antediluvian Thai Railroad, but let the adventure take another time - no heavy baggage!
Suvarnabhumi Airport ⇔ Pattaya
Taxi... The most comfortable way to get from Bangkok's main airport to Pattaya is by taxi. Look for the parking lot at Level 1 of the airport terminal. Take a taxi ticket at the ticket office for 50 baht, go to the desired stop number, and a car will drive up to you. It won't take long!
According to the rules, you must be driven to Pattaya with the meter turned on, and you pay for the fare on it. If the driver "forgot" to turn on the meter, remind him about it. If you refuse, get out of the car and report the car number at the parking ticket office. Hopefully it won't come to that!
For a regular taxi or transfer to KiwiTaxi, you will pay from 1500 baht. It all depends on which part of the resort you want.
There are taxi desks in the arrivals area at Level 2 in Suvarnabhumi. Prices are high there - from 2500 baht. Enterprising tourists climb Level 4 and negotiate with the drivers who have just brought passengers to the airport. This can save you a couple of hundred baht more.
Bus to the hotel. Bell Travel Service transfer costs from 280 baht. You will be dropped off anywhere in the city.
By bus... Tickets for the Bangkok-Pattaya bus are sold at the ticket office at Level 1 of the airport. The fare is 122 baht. Buses run from 7:00 to 22:00 every hour. If you get hungry, there is an inexpensive food court nearby.
The journey takes 2 hours. At the resort, the bus drops off tourists in Sukhumvit, then turns to Teprazit, leaves for Teppraya and brings passengers to the small Thap Phraya Office Airport Bus, which is located near the Foodmart supermarket. From here, vacationers go to hotels by taxi or songteo.
From Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi Airport can be reached in the same way - by bus from the bus station at Teppraye. Buses run every hour from 7:00 to 22:00. Tickets are usually bought in advance at the box office.
In addition, buses run to Suvarnabhumi from the North Bus Station of the resort.
Don Muang Airport ⇔ Pattaya
Most flights are served by Suvarnabhumi Airport, but low-cost airlines land on the northern outskirts of Bangkok - in Don Muang.
Taxi... You will pay 1300-1800 baht for a comfortable trip. You can order a transfer in advance at KiwiTaxi.
Via Suvarnabhumi... It is inexpensive to get from Don Muang to Pattaya through the main airport of the metropolis. Shuttle buses run between the two airports. Free buses run from 5:00 to 00:00 every 20-30 minutes. Any tourist who has plane tickets can board them. It is enough to show the ticket on your smartphone. Depending on traffic, you can get there in 1.5-2 hours. From Don Muang, the shuttle departs from Gate 6, and from Suvarnabhumi - from Gate 3.
A taxi ride from Don Muang to Suvarnabhumi costs 300-500 baht. Without traffic jams, it turns out quickly - 40 minutes.
Through the city... From Don Muang, get off at Gate 6 and take the A1 bus. He will take you to the Mochit bus station with a breeze. The ticket costs 30 baht. Tell in advance to stop near the Mo Chit bus station, because the final stop of this bus is further away, near the MRT Mo Chit station. The road from the Mochit bus station is described above.
How to get from Pattaya to Don Muang airport... There are no direct buses. Only minivans are available from the resort between 5:30 am and 7:30 pm. Their stop is located near the Harbor shopping center. The journey will cost 180 baht.
If you want to go by bus, take a ticket to the Mochit bus station, and from there change to the bus that goes to Don Muang. The second option is to take a bus to Suvarnabhumi, and from there to Don Muang - by shuttle. Plan for at least 3 hours on the cross-country road.
