Find out where in Karelia the best places for a savage vacation in tents are - including for fishing, how much are tent places at tourist centers and what glampings are.

Where to rest in Karelia in the summer, if not in a tent by the lake? Starry skies, gorgeous sunsets, fishing, heartfelt campfire conversations, romance. And there are plenty of lakes, so camping is extremely popular, especially on weekends. Not only residents of St. Petersburg come, but also locals. The most popular is Syamozero, because it is not far from Petrozavodsk.

During our trip to Karelia, we never uncovered the tent. Something kept us in the way all the time: sometimes the weather was bad, then there was no normal convention, and then the bear showed up, and the locals dissuaded us from living in a tent. Once we stopped by the lake, and we were almost devoured by a gnat - on that idea with a tent finally curtailed. As a result, they lived in rented apartments, camp sites and hotels. However, we went to Karelia not for a quiet rest, but for a rich road trip.

Rest savage with tents

Some tourists want to live in Karelia exclusively as a savage in tents and not pay money for accommodation. It would seem that Karelia is the land of lakes, and finding a place is easier than ever. But not everywhere there are convenient approaches to the lakes. We have seen such a mess, where not even every SUV will pass! Those who have found cool secluded places with a convenient access to the lake, and so that the fish bite well there, are in no hurry to share their find.

I read the reviews and wrote out such places for the rest of the savage with tents. A passenger car will also go there, you can fish. See where in Karelia tourists are advised to stay:

  • Lake Palvozero.
  • The village of Vidlitsa on Lake Ladoga.
  • Khizhozero, Tivdia village. Great fishing.
  • Lake Pälkjärvi. Road: 62.034341, 30.67677.
  • Lake Alansjärvi, Lahdenpohskiy region.
  • Lake Onega, pos. Shalsky.
  • Chelmuzhskaya spit.

If you have a boat or kayak, then come to the Ladoga Skerries and pitch your tent on any island you like. We watched a group of tourists collect kayaks near Sorola.

Rest in a tent with amenities

Another part of tourists wants to live in Karelia in a tent, but safe and comfortable. They stop at tourist centers and campsites - there is a toilet, shower, bath, kitchen and other benefits of civilization. It seems like unity with nature, and all the amenities are close by!

Usually a place for a tent costs 600-1000 rubles. Fabulous money for a piece of land! For comparison, in Altai or southern Russia there are places for 150-300 rubles per day. Look for tourist centers and campings on the Booking and Hotellook, in the high season, book in advance. Look what inexpensive recreation centers are in Karelia.

There are also fashionable glampings - this is when you live in a tent in nature, but with the amenities of an expensive hotel: sleep in a soft bed on a wooden platform, cook a barbecue, relax on the terrace, do not freeze because there is a stove or a heater. Beauty, in general, but it costs from 3,500 rubles per day. Found a couple of cool glamping sites on Hotellook:

  • Hygge Camp Karelia
  • Glamping "Fern"
